Alice Davis

Mrs. Alice Rebecca Davis, 90, of Frederick, MD passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at Citizens Care & Rehab Center. She was the last of her immediate family. She was the beloved wife of the late Boisy D. Davis, Jr.
Born October 1, 1925 in Frederick, MD she was the daughter of the late George Washing and Elizabeth Diggs Brown.
Alice was a very active member of the Sugarloaf Mountain Christian Community Church, where her daughter was the pastor.
She is survived by her children, Sterling Brown and wife Ruby, Pastor Joan Hall and husband Reginald all of Frederick and Velma Davis-Hayes and husband Everette of CA; daughter-in-law Denise Davis-Brown and former daughter-in-law Betty Jane Brown, both of Frederick; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Wayne Brown, one sister, Naomi Naylor, 3 brothers, Richard Diggs, Sr., Rev. Luther O. Brown and James Brown, Sr. and one grandson Anthony E. Hall.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, December 17, 2015 from 10-11AM where a service will begin at 11AM. Rev. Louise Malbon-Reddix will officiate.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Garden.
