Alexander "Alex" George
March 20, 1995 — December 4, 2017
Alexander Vitaly "Alex" George, 22 year old son of Dr. Thomas George and Mary Pat George of Ijamsville, died suddenly on Monday, December 4, 2017.
He was a graduate of Oakdale High School and Frostburg State University, where he majored in art. Alex was a creative, unique individual. He was an active member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church. He loved his younger sister, Katerina, and they had a close, special relationship with each other. Alex had a deep love and passion for snowboarding.
Alex is continuing the gift of life as an organ donor through Living Legacy.
In addition to his parents and sister, Alex is survived by his grandmother, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A Memorial Mass will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 9 at St. Ignatius of Loyola Catholic Church. 4103 Prices Distillery Road, Ijamsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Alex's name may be made to St. Ignatius of Loyola Poor Box Fund to feed those in need in Southern Frederick County.
