Mr. Alexander R. “Alex” Walker, 71, of Frederick, MD, died on Monday September 27, 2010 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Carolyn Walker.
Born on July 28, 1939 in Uniontown, PA., he was the son of the late Alexander and Eraline Butler Walker.
Mr. Walker, a graduate of West Virginia State University, is a member of the Shenandoah Valley Alumni Association. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1957 until his retirement in 1985 and worked for over twenty years in Frederick as an assistant manager for State Farm. He was a 32
nd
degree Mason. He was a member for over 20 years of the Ft. Detrick Post Chapel were he served as an usher.
Alex’s joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one daughter, Dr. Tracy R. Parker and husband Vaughn of Frederick, two grandchildren Alex Elaine Parker and Vaughn Bruce Parker II. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm on Saturday October 2, until Funeral Services at 2:00pm, at the Stauffer Funeral Home Chapel, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD. Interment will be private in ArlingtonNationalCemetery.
