It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved brother, Albert Lee Sauble who left us on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Frederick Health Hospital at the age of 86 years old. He was the husband of the late Iva Lee Sauble. Albert as he was called by friends and family, was born on April 14, 1938 in Thurmont, Md. and was the son of the late Zelda C. Sauble Zentz and Albert Bell Sr.
Albert held a position in his younger years at Eastalco Works at Frederick, Md. which was a major producer of primary aluminum, fabricated aluminum and alumina combined. He later moved on to Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md. as a maintenance worker. Albert retired from FCPS after serving several years in janitorial services. He enjoyed a good cup of coffee with his brother Bob on Saturday mornings and also looked forward to joining his longtime friends and neighbors Bob and LuAnn Delphy through the week for coffee and their weekday chats. Albert was always joking with LuAnn about not giving up those d**n cigarettes. He also looked forward to bringing the turkey to his sister Cheryl's Thanksgiving dinners, and he loved spending time with his family at Christmas. Additionally, he loved having conversations with his brothers about life events. Albert attended Thurmont High School with graduating year of 1956. He was a long-time member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Thurmont, Md.
He is survived by brothers Albert (Sonny) Bell of Jacksonville, NC, Ronnie Bell of Hanover, Pa., Robert (Bob) Zentz of Thurmont, Md., and his sisters, Cheryl Hildebrand of Frederick, Md., Carla Fitz of Waynesboro, Pa, Arlyn Boone of Frederick, Md., Sheila Sciarra of Holiday, Florida, and Vicki Rossi, of Thurmont, Md.; stepchildren, Teresa Moorefield, Beverly Kordonski, and Jo Lynn Brown. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by step-mother, Mary Cleo Bell; brother, Paul "Mike" Zentz; and sisters, Donna P. Zimmerman and Sharon Valentine. Later in life, Albert found love and joy with companion Becky and his four legged fur baby, Lotus. He and Becky also enjoyed the trips to Roy Rogers to have coffee and chat with his many friends.
The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, Md. on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 1 to 3 p.m. with funeral services following promptly with Pastor Sean DeLawder officiating.
