Mr. Albert J. Nace, 72, of Frederick died Thursday, November 7, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of 50 years to Mary Ellen Nace.
Born February 23, 1941 in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Carroll F. and Lenora M. Staylor Nace.
Mr. Nace retired as an analyst for the Health and Human Services for the federal government. Mr. Nace and his wife were life long residents of Baltimore prior to moving to Frederick in 1998. He was an amateur radio operator, and a member of the Yankee Rebels Drum and Bugle Corps and the Monocacy Pistol Club. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his beloved Golden Retriever, "Duffy." Mr. Nace was a member of the FSK Post #11 American Legion, and a veteran of the United States Marines.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two brothers, Michael Nace and his wife, Tricia, of Baltimore; and John Nace of Atlanta, GA; a step-sister, Donna Bullinger and husband, Jim, of Fork, MD; his step-mother, Cecilia Nace of Timonium; nine nieces and nephews, Heather Nace, Michael Nace, Meredith Mahn, Steven Nace, Brad Nace, Joshua Rafferty, Carli Bullinger, Jamie Bullinger, and Matt Bullinger.
He was deceased by his brother, Chuck Nace.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a memorial service will begin at 3 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Luke Flannery.
Inurnment will be in the Eastern Shore Veterans Cemetery in Hurlock, MD at a later date.
