Albert Leroy Day, Jr.

Albert L. Day Jr.  68 of Damascus departed from his earthly home on May 19, 2023.

Born on June 8, 1954 in Bethesda, Albert was the son of the late Albert L. Day, Sr. and Betty Jane (Slack) Day.

Albert worked for a few years as a Security Guard at Orbital Corporation, for twenty plus years he worked for the Gazette Newspaper and retired after 6 years as a salesman for F.H. Furr Plumbing and Heating.  

Albert is survived by his only son, Albert William Day; his companion, of 17 years, Marilyn Shifflett and her sons Terry Michael Shifflett and Daryl Wayne Shifflett and Merideth and Grandson Devin Patrick Shifflett.  He is also survived by his two sisters Kathy Crown Frazer of Harpers Ferry, WV and Doris Day of Brunswick, MD, as well as many nephews and nieces.

Albert was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Bonnie Ingram.

The family with like to express their thanks and appreciation to all the Doctors and Medical Staff at Holy Cross Hospital, Germantown, who took care of Albert’s every need.  A special thanks to Sandy Seipp for all she did in helping us through this hard time.

A celebration of life will held at a later date.
