Alan Williams

Mr. Alan Williams, 56, of Frederick, died on Friday, September 2 ^nd , 2011 at his home. He was the loving husband of Kim L. (Sorapuru) Williams.

Born on May 1 ^st , 1955 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late

Coleman and Florence Williams.

Mr. Williams served in the U. S. Navy. He was employed at the University of Maryland Medical System as a Data Base Administrator in their I.T. Dept, and formerly employed with Fairchild Space (Orbital). For relaxation he enjoyed being with his family and also a good cigar. He was an outdoorsman enjoying golfing, running, exercising, fishing and hunting. He was a skilled craftsman, carpenter and builder. He also liked any type of modern electronics and was a talented guitarist.

Surviving beside his wife are three loving sons, Christopher A. Williams and wife Melanie, Matthew C. and Jordan I. Williams, and three beautiful grandchildren, Elijah C., Samuel L., and Ethan P. Williams. He is also survived by five sisters, Maude L. Williams, Mildred Cox, Fannie P. Williams, Janet W. Jasper and Joyce C. Williams, two brothers, Charles and Timothy Williams. He was preceded in death by two brothers. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends, sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Saturday, September 10 ^th , from 4:30p.m. to 6:30 p.m. with a prayer service beginning at 6:30 p.m. Fellowship will follow the prayer service at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, 8428 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD.
