Alan Gordon

Mr. Alan L. Gordon, 59, of Mt. Airy , died on Saturday March 5, 2011 at Washington Hospital Center , DC . He was the husband of Karen L. Gordon.

Born on September 8, 1951 in Washington D. C. , he was the son of Samuel and Selma Gimble Gordon of Silver Spring .

Alan was one of the original founders of the Four County Little League, Mt. Airy . He enjoyed coaching, his many friends and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed watching the Redskins, the Frederick Keys, the Washington Nationals and many other sports.

Also surviving are his children; Seth Gordon of Gaithersburg , Peggy Gordon of Derwood, Jason Gordon and wife Kelli of Mt. Airy and Lindsay Levendusky and husband Jeff of Keymar. Five grandchildren, Asia , John, Jacob, Jeffrey Jr., and Ryan. Sisters Karen Waters and Rhonda Gordon. Mother and father in law, Peggy and John Corbin. He is also survived by many close friends and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his good friend and brother in law Steve Pressman.

Visitation will be held from 7-9pm on Thursday March 10, 2011 at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd. Mt. Airy, where Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday March 11, in the funeral home. Rabbi David Shneyer will officiate. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
