Mrs. Addie R. Firor, 90, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013. She was the wife of the late George M. Firor.
Born June 27, 1923 in Ontario, Charlotte County, VA, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Bettie May Bailey Redmond.
Mrs. Firor was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ. She worked at the Pentagon in the 1940’s prior to her marriage. Mrs. Firor was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and gardening.
She is survived by two sons Roger Firor and wife Judy of Landenberg, PA and David Firor and wife Kathy of Thurmont, grandchildren Chelsey and Connor Firor and Erin Sites, Emily Dennis and Georgia Firor. She was preceded in death by two sisters Lois Hamlin and Nell Dunbar.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont , Thursday, December 26, from 3 – 5:00 pm. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, December 27, at Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont with Pastor Sean Delawder officiating..
