Aaron Lynn Leggett

Aaron Lynn Leggett, 21, of Boonsboro, Maryland died suddenly on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at his home.


Born on March 13, 1988 in Hagerstown, Maryland, he is the son of Jeffrey L. and Krista G. (Beard) Leggett of Boonsboro.


Aaron was a member of the 2006 graduating class of Boonsboro High School and the Washington County Technical High School.  He went on to graduate as an Electrician in August 2009 from the Associated Builders Construction Technical Trade School.


Aaron was best known for his love of sports, hunting and fishing.  He was a Kicker and Defensive Lineman for the Boonsboro Warrior Football Team and also was a Catcher on the Baseball team, having also been involved in the South Mountain Little League, Hagerstown Pony and Colt League's throughout his life.  Aaron will be missed by his many family and friends, but will always be remembered for his "git-r-done" attitude.


Aaron had recently been employed with Electracomm Services, Inc. in Frederick, Maryland.  Prior to that, Aaron had worked for 2 years for Antietam Electrical Contractors Inc. in Williamsport.


In addition to his parents, Aaron is survived by his sister, Melissa G. Leggett-DeBaugh and her six-month old daughter, Natalie Pearl; maternal grandparents, Richard and Miriam Andrews of Leesburg, Florida;  and his paternal grandfather, Willis  Leggett, Sr. of Boonsboro, Maryland.  He is also survived by his uncle Willis and aunt Mary-Ann Leggett, Jr. of Hagerstown, Maryland; uncle Gary and aunt Sandy Leggett of Sharpsburg, Maryland; uncle Lonnie Leggett and aunt Karen Minnick of Boonsboro, Maryland; aunt Debbie McDonald of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania;  uncle Joey Leggett and aunt Mary Cunningham of Boonsboro, Maryland; uncle Donnie and aunt Cheryl Leggett of Aspers, Pennsylvania; aunt Cindy and uncle Steve Cordell of Hagerstown, Maryland;  uncle Charles Beard of Williamsburg, Virginia; aunt Barbara and uncle Larry Kershner of Hagerstown, Maryland; aunt Jodi and uncle Mark Niehans of Honeybrook, Pennsylvania; uncle Neal E. Beard of Boonsboro, Maryland; his childhood, lifelong friend Patrick Fogle of Boonsboro, Maryland as well as many cousins and other friends.


Aaron was preceeded in death by his paternal grandmother, Nettie Pearl Leggett, in 2004, and his maternal grandfather Charles E. Beard, in 2001.


Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland.  Dr. Larry Aikens will officiate.  Interment will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.


Friends are invited to visit at the funeral home beginning at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 where the family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m.
