A. David  Neal, 36, of Boonsboro, Maryland and formerly of Frederick, Maryland, passed away suddenly from this life on Saturday morning, December 1, 2012, as the result of an automobile accident.

Born on July 30, 1976,  he is the son of Martin W. and Sandra L. (Hebb) Neal, of Boonsboro.

David was a 1995 graduate of Governor Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick.

He worked for South Mountain Collision and Auto Center in Middletown, Maryland for the past three years and was also a custodian for the Frederick County Public School System in the evenings.

David will be remembered as a "free spirit" and for his love and collection of Chrysler and Dodge made vehicles.

In addition to his parents, David is survived by a daughter, Bridget Marie Neal of Hagerstown, Maryland; a son, Bret Alexander Neal of Hagerstown; two brothers, Kenneth Neal and his significant other, Kellie Smith of Thurmont, Maryland and Wayne Neal and his wife, Heidi of Myersville, Maryland; his maternal grandmother, Ellen Hebb; his paternal grandparents, Kenneth Neal and Madeline Zeigler; two nieces, Kayla and Marissa Neal; two nephews, Kenneth Neal, II and Daniel Neal; two step-nieces, Turquoise Strohman and Heileen Wingate;  a great-nephew, Aiden Conder; and special friends, Kenny and Tammy Keeney, Wayne Getzandanner, Jamaal Butts, Lee Fritz, and Gerald Gouker.  David is also survived by his pet canine companion, Boo.

David was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Carl Hebb and paternal grandfather, Clyde Zeigler.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland.  Rev.  Gene W. Renner will officiate. Final resting-place ceremonies will follow at Harmony Church of the Brethren Cemetery in Myersville.  The family asks that everyone please come dressed in casual attire to the viewing and service.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at the funeral home.  For the convenience of family and friends, the funeral home will be open after 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

For those who wish, memorial donations may be made to Martin and Sandra Neal, 20834 Reno Monument Road, Boonsboro, Maryland 21713 to help start a college fund for David's children.
