Wes Cornell

Wes Cornell, 58, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy, MD

Born on July 1, 1959, in Maryland, he was the son of the late William Howard Cornell and Ida Mae (Blackmon) Cornell.

He is predeceased by his wife, Kathy Ellen Cornell.

Wes enjoyed RZR riding, gas powered remote control cars, jet skiing, tail gating at the Redskins games, attending NASCAR races and camping.  He loved his family and friends.  He had a big heart and was always there to lend a helping hand.  He was a devoted father and friend and will be truly missed.

He is survived by his companion, Jenny White, sons, Joseph William Cornell and his wife April and Seth Ray Wellington;  Grandchildren, Kayella Hope Wellington, Slayton Ray Wellington; brother, William Lester Cornell; sister, Deborah Lee Bremerman.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by his siblings, Nancy Jones, Mildred Windsor and David Cornell.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 8 East Ridgeville in Mt. Airy, MD where a
celebration of Wes' life journey will follow at 2:30 pm. Rev. Tim May will officiate.  Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery,  Mount Airy, MD.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
