Robert "Bob" Lucas

Robert " Bob" Earl Lucas, 77, of Adamstown, Md, passed from this life to be with his Savior on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD.

Born on January 18, 1940 in Baltimore, MD,  he was the son of the late William Parker Lucas and Madeline Theresa (Franey) Lucas.

He was honorably discharged from the Army reserves after 6 years of service.

He grew up in Baltimore and attended local Baltimore Schools,

Bob retired in 2003 from Nabisco Foods, where he had worked for 20 years. He also was employed by Morning Star Farms and Franklin Farms, where he managed Broker Networks in Food Service.

He loved the water and anything to do with boating, fishing, and swimming.  He was the happiest when with his family and spent many hours entertaining the grandchildren with games of Monopoly. Bob and his wife of 23 years, Beth Anne Lucas were the best of friends and enjoyed traveling together, nice restaurants, long walks, and watching Jeopardy together.

In addition his wife, he is survived by his 3 children, Robert E. Lucas, Jr. (Nancy) of Ogden, UT, Timothy B. Lucas (Patricia) of Vero Beach, FL, and Laurie Hilsmeier (Damon) of Delta, PA ; two step sons,, Adam C. Kish (Lisa) of Frederick MD and Brent A. Kish (Abby) of Orlando FL; brother, William "Bill" Lucas (Val) of Reistertown  MD; five grandchildren, Lauren Lucas, Shane Lucas, Amanda Hilsmeier, Lindsey Hilsmeier, and Ryan Lucas; four step grandchildren, Alexandra Kish, Graeden Kish, Taylor Kish, and Hayden Kish; two great grandchildren, Lucas LaHood and Jacob Lucas.

A private celebration  of Bob's life will be held on  his beloved Chesapeake Bay at a later date.
