Robert Mason

Robert Davis Mason passed away peacefully at his home in Keymar on Saturday, Februaruy 20, 2016 after a brief illness. He was born October 27, 1936 to the late Captain Robert John Mason and Gladys Imogene Davis Mason. Mr. Mason is survived by his longtime friend Michael D. Duncan.
Mr. Mason graduated from Mergenthaler Vocational Tech in Baltimore in 1956. He worked 38 years for Sears in display and security. He was an enthusiastic member of the Harriet Chapel, Catoctin Episcopal Church for a number of years. His hobbies included antiques, bicycling, arts and the love of his cats.
Friends will be received at the Harriet Chapel, Catoctin Episcopal Church, 12625 Catoctin Furnace Road, Thurmont, MD 21788 on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 9-11 am with funeral service at 11 am, Rev. Sally Joyner Giffin officiating. Graveside service and interment Timber Ridge Christian Church Cemetery, High View, WV at 1:30 pm. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Harriet Chapel or the Antietam Humane Society, Waynesboro, PA. Arrangements are being handled by Stauffer Funeral Home, Thurmont, MD.
