Rebecca Hoover

Rebecca Jane (Cosens) Hoover, 56, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at her home.

Born on August 27, 1959, in Boonsboro, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Clarence A. Cosens, Sr. and Catherine M. (Zepp) Cosens.

Rebecca was a 1977 graduate from Boonsboro High School.

She had been employed as a Geriatric Nurse's Assistant at Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village for 19 years and at Reeder's Memorial Home for over 10 years.

Rebecca always put others first in her life.  She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, Steven W. Hoover; one daughter, Crystal M. Hoover and fiancé Michael of Hagerstown; one sister, Patricia A. Rheam of Hagerstown, and three brothers, Clarence A. Cosens, Jr. and Michael B. Cosens both of Boonsboro, and Dennis W. Cosens of Smithsburg, Maryland.  She is also survived by her three grandchildren, Logan, Bella and Aubrey, as well as many nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeffrey A. Cosens, Sr. and Gregory L. Cosens, Sr.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.  Rev. R. Thomas Fralin, Jr. will officiate.  Final resting place ceremonies will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2015 at the funeral home.
