Raymond Stull, Jr.

Mr. Raymond M. Stull, Jr., 83, of Lewistown, died on Wednesday, December 14 at St. Joseph's Ministries Nursing Home, Emmitsburg.  He was the husband of the late Betty "Michael" Stull.  Born on March 31, 1933, he was the son of the late Raymond M. Stull, Sr. and Catherine Strine.

Mr. Stull was a charter member and life member of Lewistown Volunteer Fire Department and was very instrumental in the construction of the new fire house in 1978.  He was the President of the Lewistown Fire Department from 1994 to 2000 and was the Chief for a total of 12 years: 1973 to 1981, 1983, 1984 and 1986 and was Treasurer of Frederick County Fire and Rescue in the mid-90's.  Raymond was a farmer from birth until 1988 and was a past member of the Frederick County Farm Bureau.  After he sold the farm, he drove a route truck for Tri-State Farm and was a member of the Lewistown Ruritan Club for many years.

Raymond is survived by children Deborah Compton, Michael Stull and wife Tara, Wayne Stull and Son-In-Law William Compton; 7 Grandchildren: Eddie Compton and wife Trish, Jessica Ketterman and partner Ronnie, Kayla Brannen and husband Tyler, Justina Johnson and partner Matt, Samantha Hahn, Mikey Stull and partner Destiny and Savannah Stull; 8 Great Grandchildren; siblings Mary Katherine Mathews, Paul Stull, Helen Michael and her partner Richard and Donald Stull, Sr. and wife Lena and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.  In addition to his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by a sister Dorothy Stull, daughter-in-law Tammy L. Stull, parents-in-law Alva and Grace Michael, Brothers-In-Law Frank Mathews and George Michael, Sister In Law Joann Stull and nephew Donald R. Stull, Jr.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 18 from 2:00 to 7:00 PM and Monday, December 19 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 20 at 11:00 AM at Lewistown Volunteer Fire Company, 11101 Hessong Bridge Road, Frederick, MD 21701.  Eddie Compton, Mikey Stull, Steve Stull, Mike Fogle, Chuck Jenkins and Ernie Farkas will serve as pallbearers.  Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
