Michael Glumac

Michael J.  Glumac ,III, 70, of Mount Airy, Maryland, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016, at Kline Hospice House in Mount Airy. He was the husband Rebecca C. Schirf Glumac.

Born on November 18, 1945, in Washington, DC he was the son of Michael J. Glumac and Gerturde Raley.

He was an Electrician. Mike attended Purdue University and served in the U.S. National Guard. He was an avid Maryland Basketball fan. Mike loved history, photography and music, watching TV's The Voice.

Surviving in addition to his wife are three children: Tony Glumac of New Market, Mickey Glumac and wife Jessica of Urbana and Kim Dodson and husband Jeff of Ijamsville; four adoring grandchildren: Claire, Olivia, Collin and Chase; a precious sister Linda Carey and husband Mike of Spencerville; "Uncle Mikey" of Colleen Carey Serra and Cathleen Carey.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 23, at Holy Family Catholic Community, 7321 Burkittsville Rd, Middletown, MD 21769, with reception to follow in the Legacy Room.

A private interment next to special nephew, Christopher Carey will take place in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Washington, DC.
