Ms. Mary Margaret Dorsey, 71, of Frederick, died September 2, 2009 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital.
Born on January 31, 1938 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Helen Eva Pearson and John T. Dorsey.
Mary worked for Frederick Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department and had started her career in the dietary department. She was affiliated with Quinn AME Chapel in Frederick.
Survivors include her children; Beverly Charles of Frederick, Rodney Dorsey and wife Tracey of Frederick, Renee Dorsey of New Jersey, Michael Dorsey and wife Tina of West Virginia, and Michelle Boyce and her significant other John Chaney of Frederick; 21 grandchildren and several great grandchildren; numerous nieces nephews and cousins. She will be remembered by her close friends Kitty Williams and Nancy.
Visitation: The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 10th from 7 until 9 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.
Services: Ms Dorsey's body will be taken to Asbury United Methodist Church, West All Saints Street, Frederick, MD. on Friday where she will lie in state from 10 AM until the service time of 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
