Mrs. Mary E. Molter, 91, of Frederick, MD died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of Carl William Molter, Jr. They were married for 71 years.
Born November 13, 1921 in Johnson City, New York, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary Lane.
In earlier years, Mrs. Molter worked in the clerical department at Endicott Johnson in Endicott, N.Y. Originally from Upstate New York, she and her husband spent 30 years in Clearwater, Florida, before relocating to the Frederick area five years ago.
She was one of the oldest living members of the American Legion Auxiliary with 83 years of membership.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Linda Molter of North Carolina and Barbara Porter and husband, James, of Frederick; two grandchildren, Brian Carr of Frederick and Brandi Meese and husband, George, also of Frederick; a great-grandson, Zachary Carr, a niece, Vonda Borzello and her family of Dunwoody, Georgia; and a nephew, Donald Molter and his family of Dunnellon, Florida.
All services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick, MD 21702.
