Mrs. Mary Ruth Greeves, 67, of Frederick died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 at Johns Hopkins Hospital. She was the loving wife of 33 years to John (Jack) Greeves.
Born December 18, 1948 in Boyds, she was the daughter of the late William R. and Alice Catherine (Kolb) Catron.
A native of Frederick County, Mary was born and raised on a dairy farm. She was an immaculate homemaker, as well as a great cook. Mary loved spending time with her family, and she adored her Dachshund, Molly.
She worked for many years in Human Resources at Lockheed Martin. More recently, Mary enjoyed her part time job at Fabulous Finds in Frederick.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by children, Richard Stine and companion, Marci, of Thurmont; Paul "Tony" Stine and wife, Tena, of Madison, NC; and Laura Zois and husband, Jim, of Baltimore; grandchildren, Ashley Stine of Germantown, Bethany Stine of Madison, NC, and Teddy and Alex Zois of Baltimore; great-grandson, Brenden Dashiell; two siblings, Wilma Swick and husband, Ronald, of Capon Bridge, WV, and Charles Catron and wife, Connie, of Union Bridge; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 8, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, January 9th from the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Carolyn Roberts and the Rev. Dr. John Deckenback.
Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
