Kenneth Whiteside

Kenneth Wayne Whiteside “Red Dog” ,77 years of age, residing in Walkersville, MD passed peacefully at home on Sunday, October 3, 2021, surrounded by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Judith C. Whiteside, sister Ellyn Whiteside, daughter Kimberly Failor, son Keith Whiteside and wife Jean, grandchildren Brooke Whiteside and partner Doug, Devin Failor, Kyle Whiteside, Patricia LaVassor and husband Jerrod, Alysssa Davitz and husband Dustin, four great-grandchildren Millie, Jane, Wes and Braylen and niece, Angie Haube.

Ken served in the United States Air Force from 1965-1971 where he achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed hunting with his son each year and spending time in WI fishing.  He loved his horses, dogs, chickens, hummingbirds, and duckpin bowling.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eldon & Ann Whiteside, sister Kay and brother Russell.

He will be loved and missed by family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 10:30 until 11:30am on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at South End Baptist Church, 506 Carrollton Drive, Frederick, MD 21701. A memorial service will begin at 11:30am at the church.
