Mrs. Karlene Jansson Garzone, 32, passed away June 13, 2013, at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Charles "Chuck" Garzone for 10 years.
Born on June 27, 1980 in Silver Spring, MD she was the daughter of Karl and June Jansson of Inwood, WV.
Karlene was very dedicated to her family and a phenomenal mother and wife. She was an active member of Middletown United Methodist Church. She was artistic and enjoyed scrap booking and Pinterest. Karlene was accomplished and motivated, any goal she set for herself she achieved quickly. She "lil camper" was President of the Foothill Campers Camping Club. Karlene was athletic, earning her second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and also a member of the FACKA Kickball league "drinking the water." Karlene was involved with her fur kids and active with the local animal shelter/SPCA.
In addition to her husband and her parents, she is survived by her children Cameron Patrick and Madison June Karlene Garzone of Frederick, MD; sister Julie Twigg and husband Tim and their children Krysta and Skyler Twigg all of Middletown, MD; brother Chris Jansson and his son C.J. Jansson of Frederick, MD; Mother-in-law Laura Myers and step-father Clint Myers of Belmont, NC; father-in-law Charles Alfred Garzone of Syracuse, NY and grandfather John Inman of Stearns, KY.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from 6-9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 19 at 11 AM at Middletown United Methodist Church, 7108 fern Circle, Middletown where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Rev. Dr. Susan Halse will officiate, assisted by Pastor Matthew Poole.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
Donations may be made to the educational funds of Cameron and Madison Garzone that is being established.
