John Sun

John Sun, 90, of Frederick, MD passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.
John is survived by his wife, Jan Sun, his five sons: William, Samuel, David, Benjamin, and Albert; and eight grandchildren: Scott, Christopher, Jeffrey, Sean, Amanda, Elizabeth, Abigail, and Henry. He is preceded in death by his brother Peter, mother Peng Yousheng, and father Chi-Jen Sun.
John received an undergraduate degree in mathematics from National Taiwan University, and a graduate degree in mathematics from Utah State University. John then worked as a mathematics professor and computer programmer. He enjoyed teaching math and was an avid Go player.
Interment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Silver Spring, on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 1 PM.
