Harold Young

Mr. Harold Wesley Young, 92, of Frederick, MD., passed away Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mary Madeline Young.
Born October 5, 1922 in Legore, Maryland, he was the son of Harry Atlee and Mary Lee Hape Young.
Mr. Young retired from Fort Detrick, after many years of service, as an engineering technician. He was a longtime board member and choir member of Parkway Community Church. Harold served his country during WWII in the US Navy and was a member of the American Legion Post # 11. He enjoyed going to steam engine and steam tractor shows.
He is survived by six children Ronald D. Young and wife Linda of Walkersville, Harold W. Young, Jr and wife Kaycee of San Francisco, CA, Kenneth E. Young and wife Jennie of Middletown, Robert D. Young and friend Carol Pyett of Myersville, Cecilia B. Young and significant other Michael of Severna Park, MD and James E. Young and wife Kim of Jefferson, Grandchildren Christopher Young and Allison Young both of Middletown and sisters Patsy Weller and husband Roland of Thurmont and Leonis Mathews and husband Marshall of Rocky Ridge. He was preceded in death by a brother Charles Donald Young.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick Wednesday, January 28, from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm, where services will be held , Thursday, January 29, at 11:00 am
