Helene entered into eternal peace at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Jamestown, Rhode Island (which is an island within Rhode Island) and moved to Webster, Massachusetts at the age of 9. Helene graduated Bartlett High School in 1948 and Salem State Teachers College in 1952.
She taught school for several years and worked at the American Embassy in Paris France for one year. In Paris, she was employed as a linguist and traveled extensively through Europe. On August 3, 1957, she married Bernard James Rogers. During their 50 plus years of marriage, she moved her growing family several times. She lived in Meriden Connecticut, Oak Ridge Tennessee, Cincinnati and Bay Village Ohio and then to Frederick, MD in 1972.
She had four children and is survived by her sons: Michael Francis Rogers (Virginia Beach VA), John Joseph Rogers (deceased in 1993), Robert James Rogers and spouse Earl Wright (Baltimore, MD) and her daughter Mary Ann Lange and husband Peter Lange (Westminster, MD).
She is also mourned by her West Frederick, Maryland Jehovah Witnesses Congregation. Helene enjoyed swimming, reading the bible and the Watchtower Magazines. In addition she loved watching COZI TV Shows and family dinners.
Helene’s memorial service will be officiated by the Elder Tim Moser on Saturday April 16, 2016 at 4:00PM at the West Frederick Jehovah Witnesses Congregation Hall located at 6707 Carpenter Rd. Frederick MD 21703.
