Grace Smith

Ms. Grace S. Smith 95 of Keymar, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at her home.

Born January 4, 1916 on Walkersville, MD she was the daughter of the late John and Avie Smith.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Walkersville.

She enjoyed quilting and working on the farm.

She is survived by her two brothers, Ray Clifford Smith and Ralph Elwood Smith and wife Catherine, her sister-in-laws, Georgia Smith, Hilda Smith and Doris Smith. She will also be remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

The family wants to express their thanks to her caretakers, Mary Rice, Babs Jose, Glenda Valentine, Betty Perkins, the staff of Hospice of Frederick County and her nieces, Doris Blank and Mary Frances Shafer.

She is preceded in death by her sisters, Helen V. Clem, May C. Flanigan, Amy M. Smith and Ada Frances Smith, her brothers, John H. Smith, Paul B. Smith, Albert R. Smith, Lewis Staley Smith and Ira R. Smith.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville, MD on Friday, January 28 ^th from 2-4 and 7-9PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 29 ^th at 1:00 PM with Pastor Mark L. Foucart officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
