E. Jenkins

Mrs. E. Marilyn Jenkins, 86, of Mt. Airy formerly of Silver Spring died on Saturday November 16, 2013 at Kline Hospice House, Mt. Airy. She was the wife of the late John A. Jenkins (1996) who she married in September 1947.

Born on October 25, 1927 in West Nanticoke, PA she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Eva Kyttle Jones.

She Graduated from Harter High School, West Nanticoke, PA in 1945. Member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, Kensington, MD for over 50 years and Calvary United Methodist Church, West Nanticoke, Plymouth Township.  She Worked for Montgomery Wards in Wheaton Plaza for many years. She volunteered: St. Paul’s UMC, Einstein H. S. Athletic Boosters, Girl Scouts and Cub Scouts.

She was the loving mother of Ardella L. Anderson and Andy, Ocean Pines, MD; her son, John A. Jenkins, Jr., Hanover, PA. Devoted grandmother of Melissa Anderson Sprague and Jim; Jason A. Anderson and Resha, Daniel M. Jenkins, David G. Jenkins and Stacy, Meredith A. Lyvers. Great grandmother of Meghan Runey, Jessica Sprague, Jenna Sprague and Great great grandmother of Cole and Abigail Runey. Also survived by son in law Preston Lyvers of Gaithersburg. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen J. Lyvers (2009; two brothers Bobby and Ronald Jones.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00am on Friday December 6, 2013 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 10401 Armory Ave, Kensington, MD 20895. Interment will be in Edge Hill Cemetery, West Nanticoke at a later date.
