Donna "Dean" Bailey

Mrs. Donna “Dean” J. Bailey, 47, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at her home.  She was the wife of Joseph D. Bailey, Jr.

Born February 18, 1965 in Gettysburg, PA, she was the daughter of Luther, Jr. and Arlene Peters Beard of Thurmont.

Mrs. Bailey was a member of the Weller United Methodist Church.  She  was employed at the Thurmont Post Office for 24 years.  Dean loved spending time with her family and going to the Olive Garden.  She also enjoyed sewing, cross-stitch, flowers and gardening.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two children Katelyn Guilday and husband Zach of Thurmont and Jeremy D. Bailey and Alyssa Roth of Virginia Beach, VA, her siblings Pamela Bowers and husband Bobby, Mike Beard and wife Kim, Wendy Hardman and husband Jeff all of Thurmont and Karen Ruby and husband Jay of Rocky Ridge, sister-in-law Lavina Clem and husband Jerry and family, brother-in-laws Craig Bailey and family and Dave Bailey and family, mother-in-law Cathy Bailey.  Many nieces and nephews also survive.  She will also be remembered by her special friend Lisa Eyler.   She was preceded in death by her grandparents Luther and Ada Beard and William and Katherine Peters and her father-in-law Joseph Bailey, Sr.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont on Sunday, February 17, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where services will be held Monday, February 18, at 11:00 am with Rev. Rich Broome officiating.

Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
