David Milam

David Wayne Milam, 48, of Thurmont, MD passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016. He was the beloved father to Keenan, Ayla, Kyle and Changmi (Elizabeth) Milam.
Born April 24, 1967 in Bethesda, MD he was the son of Wayne Milam of Nacogdoches, TX and Darlene Lawver of Gaithersburg, MD.
David owned his own business and excelled at home improvement projects. He was a perfectionist and it showed in every aspect of his work. He was an avid hunter and entered in local, national and world compound bow competitions. One of David's biggest accomplishments came a few years ago when he finished in the top 20 in his class at The World 3D Archery Championship. He was a member of local archery clubs and was known by many in local archery circles.
In addition to his parents and children, David is survived by his step-father Douglas Lawver and step-mother Deborah Milam, half-brother Joshua Milam and half-sister Christina Milam.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 2PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.
