Dale White

Dale E. White, age 79, of Frederick, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016, at Glade Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born June 23, 1937, in Cumberland, MD, he was the son of Frank and Edna White.

Surviving is his wife Myrna of 55 years, whom he loved very much and children and loved ones; Jess, Dawn, Mark and his wife Jennifer and Rebecca and her boyfriend Erik. He was also loved by his eight grandchildren Struther, Atalya, Carter, Amanda, Samantha, Jewel, Karly and Mark; as well as his beloved dog Ivy.

Dale graduated from Fort Hill High school in 1955 and went on to earn his bachelors at the University of Maryland in 1960.

Dale was a retired school teacher of 32 years employment as well as 15 years of landscaping services. He was an accomplished banjo player of blue grass music for many years and enjoyed making knives; he was a member of the William F. Moran, Jr. Museum and Foundation. He also enjoyed being home and having visitors, telling jokes, fishing, baseball, chewing tobacco, gardening and Sunday dinners with his family.
