Connie Hargett

February 27, 1942 — October 25, 2015

Mrs. Connie Lee K Hargett, 73, of Woodsboro, went home peacefully to be with the Lord, on Sunday, October 25, 2015, at Frederick Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Richard E. Hargett, Sr., her husband of 57 years

Born on February 27, 1942, in Burkittsville, she was the daughter of the late Samuel L., Sr. and Helen Norris Brown. Connie was a member of Locust Valley Bible Church in Middletown and more recently of New Life Foursquare Church in Frederick. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking and canning home grown vegetables from her garden, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three children: Glenda Bussard and husband Rick of Monrovia, Rick Hargett and wife Beth of Brunswick and Tammy Albaugh and husband Michael of Keymar; twelve grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren; two sisters: Bobbie McBride of Burkittsville and Kathy Andrews of Middletown; a brother, Sam Brown also of Burkittsville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hargett was preceded in death by a son, Randy Hargett and sisters: Clara Moss, Mary Fink and Betty Brown.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 PM on Thursday, October 29, and from 11AM-12 Noon on Friday, October 30, at New Life Foursquare Church, 5913 Jefferson Pike, Frederick where funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, October 30, with Pastor Dave Hendershot officiating.

Interment will take place in Locust Valley Bible Church Cemetery, Middletown with Jeremy Bussard, Jason Bussard, Justin Hargett, Cory Hargett, Matthew Hargett, Michael Albaugh, Jr., Bradley Hargett and Davis Crouse serving as pallbearers, and Tara Nusbaum, Shannon Pyles, Grace Hargett, Sophia Hargett and Ellie Hargett serving as honorary pallbearers.
