Christine (Gause) McClellan, 74, of Knoxville, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Born on August 18, 1941, in Loris, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Leon F. and Mary (Vereen) Gause.
Christine worked as a circuit board fabricator and had been employed with Watkins Johnson Company in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Circuit City in Frederick, Maryland, and retired in 2002 from Patapsco Designs, also in Frederick.
She was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Rohrersville, Maryland, for 36 years, and most recently was a member of the Battlefield Bible Church in Fairplay, Maryland.
Christine loved to cook, and especially she loved her time as a preschool teacher at church.
She is survived by her husband, Pastor Wendell G. McClellan; two daughters, Cindy Takuski and husband Michael, and Pam Weidner and husband Charlie, all of Keedysville; two sisters, Mildred Lane and Louise Hardee, and one brother, Jimmie Gause, all of South Carolina; two grandchildren, Brandyn Shoemaker and wife Carrie and LaCrysta and husband Charles Payne; and three great grandchildren, Bailee, Aidyn, and Bella. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Estaleen Allen; and two brothers, Levon and Robert Gause.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, February 24, 2016 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
A memorial service celebrating Christine's life journey will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2016 at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 3346 Gapland Road in Rohrersville. Burial will be held privately.
