Brian Robinette

Brian Edward Robinette, 40, of Indian Head, Maryland, passed away December 21, 2013 in Frankfurt, Germany.

He was born June 1, 1973 at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, to John Edward Robinette, Jr. and Linda Christine (Phillips) Robinette of Indian Head, Maryland.

Currently a student majoring in Business, Brian had formerly worked as a truck driver with Stevens Transport, Inc. in Dallas Texas.  He truly enjoyed working for several years as a manager of the Woodland Club in Giessen, Germany.  He loved weightlifting and watching football and basketball.  His favorite teams were the Washington Redskins and the San Antonio Spurs.

He served in the Army from August 28, 1991 to September 2, 1993 with the Patriot Missile Division  and participated in Desert Storm during the Gulf War and became a member of the Army National Guard  after his active service.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two beautiful daughters, Lina and Emily Robinette, both of Germany; one sister, Stacey L. Boudreau and husband Jason of Edgewater, Maryland; two nephews, Tyler and Nathaniel Boudreau; one niece, Tara Boudreau; his maternal grandmother, Theresa L. Phillips of Hagerstown, Maryland, his paternal grandmother, Peggy J. Robinette of Iaeger, West Virginia;  very special aunt and uncle, Karen and Terry Obitts of Hagerstown; two aunts, Deborah L. Weaver of Fairplay, Maryland and Lori J. Phillips of Hagerstown; and four uncles, Richard M. Phillips of Fairplay, Alan F. Phillips of Hagerstown, and Richard T. Robinette  and Gilbert Addair of Iaeger West Virginia.  He is also survived by many cousins.

Brian was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard M. Phillips; his paternal grandfather, John E. Robinette, Sr.; and his paternal grandmother, Mary V. Robinette.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, Maryland.  Rev. Shane Wilt will officiate.  Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery with Military Honors rendered by the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 from Boonsboro.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Because of his love of animals, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local animal shelters.
