Bernice Snyder

Bernice K. Snyder, 95, of Walkersville, MD, died Monday, March 28, 2016. She was born November 25, 1920, in Boyds, MD to the late Ambrose and Myrtle Kingsbury. She was the wife of the late William H. Snyder, Sr.
She graduated from Gaithersburg High School in 1938 and worked a few years at the United States Department of Veterans Affairs in Washington, D.C. Bernice enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting and gardening.
She is survived by three children, Patricia A. Snyder of Walkersville, William H. Snyder, Jr. of Ocean Pines, MD and James R. Snyder (Bonnie) of Libertytown, MD; five grandchildren, Nicole Norwood (Robert), Dawn Crews, Kim Sekely (Barry), Michael Snyder and Cathy Snyder; and three great-grandchildren, AJ and Joey Crews and Cheyenne Norwood.
She was predeceased by one sister, Lillian K. Offutt; and three brothers, Celestine Kingsbury, Gerald Kingsbury and Roland Kingsbury.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, March 31, 2016 at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Walkersville with Monsignor Richard Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday at the church one hour prior to services.
Burial will be private.
