Barbara Ann Howard

Mrs. Barbara Ann Howard, 54, of Jefferson, died on Sunday, December 28, 2008, at Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of Norman M. Howard, Jr, her husband of 29 years.

Born on April 26, 1954, in Marion, VA, she was the daughter of Mary Evans Kegley Bockelman of Glendale, AZ and the late Harold Kegley. She was a custodial worker at Ft. Detrick. She was an avid Bingo player, enjoyed fishing and dancing; but most of all loved spending time with her family.

Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are 2 children: Bonnie Ellis and husband Randy of Jefferson, and Christopher Howard and girlfriend Amber Bizzarri of Taneytown; 3 grandchildren: Samantha Ellis, Jacob Ellis and Brianna Howard; 5 brothers and sisters: Diane Langley and friend John Smith of Martinsburg, WV, Cathy Langley and husband Chester of Jonesville, VA, Jimmy Kegley and fiance Debbie Lee of Mt. Airy, Ricky Kegley and wife Brenda of Walkersville and Becky Crawford and husband Bill of Glendale, AZ; cousin and friend, Jean Krug and husband Ray of Frederick; cousin, Chicky Przygocki of Frederick; adopted parents, Irene and Neal Ennis of Mt. Airy; brother and sister-in-law, Connie and Frankie Barnhouse of Mt. Airy; adopted aunt and uncle Evelyn and Roland Toms of Littlestown, PA; as well as 7 nieces and 5 nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, January 1, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike in Frederick.

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 2, with Rev. Wallace A. Lusk officiating.

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
