Anne Bohan

Anne C. Bohan, 80, of New Market, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, June 18, 2018 at Frederick Memorial Hospital in Frederick, MD

Born on January 2, 1938, in Scranton, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Gerald  Collins and Anne  (Keating) Collins.

She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Joseph Bohan.

She graduated from the Marywood College in 1959.  She began teaching in elementary schools in Scranton, PA.  She married the love of her life and continued teaching and raising her family in Maryland.

Anne was very active in parish life at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Beltsville, MD for over 42 years.  In 2007, Anne and Joe became members of St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, Libertytown.  She cherished time spent with her family and friends and will be truly missed by all that knew her generous spirit.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children,  Mary Florenzo (Philip) and Patrick Bohan. Grandchildren, Caroline, Abigail, Andrew and Philip Florenzo; siblings, Dr. Gerald Collins and Michael Collins; sister in law, Jeanne Walsh and brother in law, Edward Bohan and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, 8 East Ridgeville in Mt. Airy, MD.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, June 22, 2018, at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 9190 Church Street in Union Bridge(Libertytown), MD. Father Charles Wible will officiate.  Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in her name to St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church Building Fund.
