Anna Pittman

August 16, 1919 — January 13, 2013

Mrs. Anna Mae Pittman, 93, of Mt. Airy went home to her Lord suddenly on Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.

Born August 16, 1919 in Frederick County, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Edna Thomas Graham.

Mrs. Pittman worked as a registered nurse at Springfield State Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1974. After retirement, she loved gardening and tending to her flowers.

She loved cooking and spending time with her family, and just the day before her untimely death, had prepared her specialty wings for the Ravens / Broncos game.

Mrs. Pittman loved Jesus with all her heart and had envisioned her "walk with him."

She is survived by two sons, John M. Richardson and wife, Carol A., of Mt. Airy; and Stephen A. Richardson and wife, Tiwana, of Walkersville; three grandchildren, Stephen A. Richardson Jr., Tila S. Richardson, and John C. (JC) Richardson Jr; seven grandchildren, Ebony Richardson, Kane Richardson, Kyndall Jackson, John K. Richardson, Sahveya Richardson, Jayden Richardson, and Jada Richardson; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her grandson, Tirail D. Richardson; five brothers, three sisters, two sisters-in-law; and three aunts.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Pearl J. Selby.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
