Ann Long

Ann M. Long of Frederick, MD, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center of Frederick. Born June, 29, 1930 in Shenandoah, PA, she was the daughter of the late George and Anna Dove.
She was also a member of the St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church parish in Walkersville.
Mrs. Long was a graduate of Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Home Economics.
She volunteered for many years at Frederick Memorial Hospital and was a member of the Homemakers Club of Frederick, MD.
She is survived by children, Patricia Long Clark and husband, William, of Tilghman Island, MD, Mary Susan "Sue" Schnapp and husband, Skip, of Silver Spring, MD, Robert George Long and wife, Patti, of Summerville, SC and Nancy Louise Sandhaus and husband, Jon, of Coronado, CA; eight grandchildren, Kate and Sam Clark, Adam, Ben and Matthew Schnapp, Mattie Seastrunk, Nathan Figg and Abbey Long. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Matthew J. Long.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Timothy Roman Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road Walkersville, MD 21793, on Monday, November 28, 2016 at 9:30 a.m., Msgr. Richard Murphy officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Citizens Care and Rehab Auxiliary Fund, 1920 Rosemont Avenue, Frederick, MD 21702.
