Mrs. Ann S. Brooks, 82, of Frederick, Maryland passed away Thursday June 28, 2012 at the Frederick Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late John Brooks.
Born April 10, 1930 in Painter, VA, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy Phillips Savage.
Mrs. Brooks retired from nursing, after 21 years of service from Suburban Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, working crossword puzzles, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy and was an avid bingo player.
She is survived by her children Steven Brooks and Kimberly Asbury and husband Paul of Frederick, grandchildren Heather Johnson, Thom Brooks, Tony Asbury and Samantha Asbury, great grandchildren Jacob, Paige and Ethan Johnson, her brother William Savage and wife Bess of Quimby, VA and her sister-in-law Margaret Brooks of Charleston, S.C. She was preceded in death by a sister Emily Hutchinson.
A Celebration of Life, for Ann, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday July 7, 2012 at the Crestwood Village Club House, 6902 Crabapple Drive, Frederick, MD. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 am until service time.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory, may be made to a charity of choice.
